You are My God

Lord, I have no rhyme to express my love and praise for you at this moment. But still I long to express what a great God you are. I used to wonder why you would use the phrase, “I will be your God.” As the years have multiplied I understand, it is not for your satisfaction you say that. It is for our comfort and hope. I am more aware of my sinfulness now than I ever have been. I’m more aware that I desperately need you. I’m more aware that the only goodness in this world or my life is from you. I’m aware that I run away from that. Lord, like David cried, create in me a heart that does your will and loves you and your word. Then I will walk in love, faith and obedience.
